The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The PPH Foundation convened several round-table consultative forums as an effective way of training and upskilling. This approach facilitates interactive exchange of experiences. In one of the sessions, remote mentorship was explored. It was led by Dr Benjamin Njihia, who exposed pre-service doctors to virtual learning and professional support systems in postpartum haemorrhage care. This was through its inaugural PPH School held on 29 May 2026. The session introduced participants to digital mentorship models that enable continuous learning, specialist guidance, collaboration, and skills development among healthcare professionals. Students explored how remote mentorship platforms can strengthen capacity building and improve preparedness in the prevention and management of postpartum haemorrhage.
